Working with the Trunk, Breath, Pulsation, Voice and the Internal Fascia Bags in TRE®
– A four-part course with TRE® Global Certification Trainer Hans Holter Solhjell
Learn how to include breath, voice, and internal fascia work in TRE® to release deep tension in the trunk and restore the natural pulsation of the breath and body.
This 4 part online course is a recording of a course with TRE® Global Certification Trainer Hans Holter Solhjell.
Welcome to this transformative TRE® course on Deep Core Tension Release!
Most people who seek TRE® to release tension and trauma experience deep tensions in all of, or in parts of, the trunk—including the pelvis, the abdomen, diaphragm, and ribcage, the spine, shoulders and shoulder blades—holding a significant amount of unconscious tension and habitual control.
These areas are central to the body’s vitality, movement, breath, voice, and emotional expression, yet for many tremors and release do not move easily above the pelvis.
This course focuses on methods and techniques to work with the natural pulsation and inner mobility of the trunk. When the breath is held and tension dominates—or when the trunk is overly relaxed or collapsed—it can reduce the body’s ability to tremor and release in the different parts of the trunk.
This also affects the internal movements of the body’s fascia bags and compartments—structures surrounding and supporting organs and tissues. These compartments are designed to move and pulse gently with breath, voice, and emotion, but in states of tension, collapse, or freeze, this natural motion may become restricted, held, or shut down.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to access and support tremors and movement in the trunk, including the abdomen, diaphragm, back, and rib-cage
- Techniques to restore the body’s natural pulsation and support internal mobility
- How to use breath, sound-making, and voice to facilitate release in the fascia bags and compartments
- How to use internal visualizing to support deep sensing and accessing more structures of the trunk.
- How to combine breath, tremor, and awareness to release deep holding patterns in the trunk
- Simple hands-on techniques for working with these areas—both on yourself and with others

Challenges and solutions in working with the trunk, internal tubes, and fascia bags
Tremoring in the upper body can impact breathing and open up emotions and emotional movements like crying, anger, fear, anxiety, etc. Also, sensations and movements such as nausea, coughing, retching, and other movements of the internal tubes, stomach, throat, etc are quite common in bodywork but not often talked about, explained or shown how to use constructively as part of the process.
These sensations and movements indicate the body coming out of freeze and dissociation and can be welcomed, facilitated, and helped through completion.
For new practitioners, these sensations, emotions, and impulses may initially be more challenging, uncomfortable, unsafe, or strange. So, more knowledge, time, support, and safety can be needed to access tremors and release them in the upper body.
This course provides the understanding and knowledge you need to access release in these deeper structures and navigate the process safely.
