The model focuses on the role of the brain, autonomic nervous system (PNS, SNS, vagus pathways), and HPA axis in regulating our responses to internal and external events..
By promoting an understanding of these processes, the model serves as a valuable tool for fostering self-regulation, emotional resilience, and adaptive growth in both personal and professional contexts.
(Note: The information on the poster is informed by Predictive Processing Theory, Brain Network Theory, Polyvagal Theory, Embodied Cognition, allostatic models, the Adaptive Response Model, and the biopsychosocial Model. It is necessarily a simplification and can be presented in several different ways. If you find mistakes or otherwise have comments, please contact me.)
