TRE® and Multiple Sclerosis

-Latest experiences and research update (Norway)

Monday, December 1st | 6 pm – 6:45 pm CET.
This is a free talk and open to anyone.

We have now gained several more years of teaching TRE in our ms-association in Follo, Norway, and more research articles from Denmark has become available. In this talk we provide an update based on our experiences and surveys in our group, and the latest research article.

For the last 5 five years, from 2020 to 2025, we have organized and taught weekly TRE groups as volunteers in the Follo MS association. In our groups we also focus on acceptance. and that we can live a full life, despite the challenges, like physical limitations, that the body does not function as before, that one may not be able to work, and feelings like shame etc, that for many accompany having a chronic illness like MS. MS is a progressive disease, where the body is constantly changing, and brings a lot of uncertainty and fear that the body may get worse, and you don’t know when. This makes it challenging to become comfortable in our own body.

We will talk about how TRE can be a support in this situation.

TRE for people with Multiple Sclerosis

In this talk, we want to share the experiences with TRE from our group. This includes our personal experiences, the results of surveys the participants have answered, how we practice and facilitate, and our thoughts about how we are using this method.

Monday, December 1st | 7 pm – 8:30 pm CET.

In this 90 minutes session, we will connect and share experiences related to the topic of the talk and TRE® in general, and you can ask questions related to the topic of the talk.

We will also do a tremor session, demonstrate interventions and modifications, and provide individual guidance and support.

We will demonstrate how we work with our MS groups, adapting the exercises with the goal that everyone can participate. It’s a bit of trial and error, where we always have to be curious, test out different things, and be creative. We will also show videos from our groups.

TRE for people with Multiple Sclerosis

We focus on that there is nothing wrong with how our participants do the exercises, but try to support participants to find the right muscles/body parts, and not focus on how the exercise looks, to make everyone feel safe and included, regardless of their general movement ability.

Self-regulation becomes particularly important – and is transferable to other situations in life, to have agency, self-determination, that we can regulate ourselves, and take more control over our own body.

These sessions are for those with quite a bit of experience with TRE® as a personal practice, instructors, and trainers. They are not beginner sessions and provide additional ideas, exercises, and interventions compared to the basic set of TRE® exercises.

The purpose of these sessions are also to connect with others who practice TRE® to share experiences, support and learn from each other.

Price: USD 39.

We have a discount per session if you sign up for two or tree sessions. Please see information on the sign up page.
