TRE® and connecting to the Joy of Sensation
with
Robyn Dalzen
Intimacy Coach, Consent Trainer and TRE® provider
Read more here.
Robyn’s work is at the intersection of mindfulness, consent, embodiment and sexuality — guiding people to slow down and bring awareness to what they desire, practice the skills to communicate those desires, and create clear agreements to receive exactly what they want.
Some of the benefits of TRE® include supporting people to connect to sensation in their body, to expand their capacity to feel and move emotion, and to self-regulate and choose their experience moment to moment. These skills and capabilities are essential to healthy relating and intimacy.
Robyn will talk about the role TRE® can play in this process, and how to integrate it with some of the other methods and tools in this field.
About Robyn Dalzen
I am an intimacy coach, facilitator, and certified TRE® provider. I help people feel at home in their bodies, create boundaries in all aspects of their lives, and deepen their joy and intimacy.
I have been working in this area for five years (after a 15-year career in leadership development in the environmental sector).
I am co-founder of the School of Consent with Dr. Betty Martin, creator of the Wheel of Consent — a model for creating agreements that bring integrity to relating.

Shaking Myself Alive;
a Journey out of grief with TRE®
with
Susanne Thomas
TRE® Certification Trainer and Provider – Life Coach
Read more here.
Su Thomas is a TRE® Certification Trainer in South Africa. Originally from Germany, she lives in Africa for 26 years and calls it her home. Her heart’s desire is to extend the reach of TRE® as a life skill and empowering practice for everyone.
She discovered TRE® while searching for ways out of grief, which she describes in her book as a beast that attacks from behind. Drawing from her early journaling, she shows how renewing the connection between physical sensations – emotions and awareness leads to a change in the way we interact with ‘the outer world’ and other people. Loss in relation to the outside world and loss of internal connectedness and integration is one and the same experience – ‘falling apart’ is real.
Su normalizes and puts into context the experiences of fight/flight, dissociation and freeze and shows how the physical integrative power of involuntary movement allow reorganization and a new sense of aliveness – change from the bottom up.
She will read from her book, take questions, give feedback and just be herself.

TRE® for Peak Sports Performance
with
Richmond Heath
Physiotherapist, TRE® Certification Trainer and Founder of TRE® Australia
Read more here.
People looking to improve their performance (especially at the elite level) are generally not interested in learning about stress or hearing about trauma– they’re focused on future outcomes & what they can do to achieve them.
They need to know how TRE® can help them:
- train strength beyond their 1-repetition max
- improve their heart-rate variability so they can recover faster from training
- keep them calm & relaxed under pressure so they can make better decisions
- improve their dynamic core stability to prevent injury & optimize speed & power
- support & enhance other treatments for injury recovery
- help them drop into ‘the zone’ where all peak performance occurs – both individually & collectively with their team-mates
Only then might they be interested in understanding how physically releasing stress & tension from their body will support their mental health & physical well-being, or that if they want to sustain elite performance over time they will need to become elite sleepers as well.
In this talk we will cover all this & more so you can use TRE® to improve your performance or support others to improve theirs.
About Richmond Heath
I am a Physiotherapist, TRE® Certification Trainer & the Founder of TRE® Australia.
With a background in high level sport I am passionate about empowering people to use TRE® to improve their performance & achieve their goals.

Trauma from medical conditions and procedures
Stress, trauma, and trauma therapy in the context of medical treatment
with
Sarah Zorica Mitic
Dr. sci. med., TRE® global certification trainer and trauma therapist
Read more here.
This can result in long-term stress and even trauma. Even when everything goes well from a medical point of view, this can be the case. The result can be significant, with lower quality of life and reduced capacity to function and thrive in both one’s personal life, relationships, and at work.
It is especially important to tread carefully and be aware of the potential trauma onset when working with children, as traumas at a young age can mark individuals for a lifetime.
With knowledge about the subject matter, the potential consequences of suffering traumas can be reduced, prevented, or helped afterward.
In this talk, Sarah will draw on her experience as both a medical doctor and a trauma therapist to explain how medical conditions and treatment can be traumatic, how to prevent or reduce stress and trauma in the treatment setting, and how body-oriented methods like TRE®, Somatic Experiencing, Brainspotting, etc. can be used to repair and restore the capacity for self-regulation in the aftermath of trauma.

Children and Spontaneous Neurogenic Tremors
-Supporting children’s naturally occurring tremors, communication, conflict resolution, and adverse events.
with
Hans Holter Solhjell
TRE® Global Certification Trainer, conflict resolution trainer, SE and Feldenkrais method practitioner
Read more here.
As parents, we can sometimes see that young children will tremor or have other spontaneous movements, in addition to the more obvious emotional movements such as crying. This can happen when they are scared, angry, or experiencing pain or other adverse events. For instance, a medical or dental procedure, an accident, etc.
In these situations, the tremors and emotional movements happen naturally, without exercises, etc., to facilitate the tremors. How we relate to and communicate with the child about what happens in the body, can either create a sense of safety and normalcy regarding the body’s natural emotional processes or shut it down, making the child feel it is wrong and shameful.
In this talk, I will talk about how we can create safety and relate to those situations where tremors and emotional release occur naturally, during or after such events. I will also talk about four types of regulation, auto-regulation, self-regulation, co-regulation, and regulation-support.
I will also present the PLS regulation-support framework, a set of practically oriented educational models for developmentally supportive communication, conflict resolution, and regulation support.
An online introductory course in the PLS regulation-support framework is available on this page.
You will receive a 25% introduction discount on the PLS course using this code on sign up, “TRE talks”.

“Poet-TRE®”: living a creative life
-TRE® as an instrument to explore new pathways
with
Yasmin Farhoumand
Psychologist, singer-composer and TRE® instructor
Read more here.
“as we are creative beings, our lives become our work of art.”
― Julia Cameron, The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once he grows up.”
― PABLO PICASSO
I have always believed and tried to live by the belief that we all are “mines rich in gems of inestimable value”, and that our life’s purpose is to discover and reveal these unique inner jewels, so that we and the world can benefit from them. The hunt for these jewels and our efforts to polish them and bring them forth, is creative living.
This creative living requires courage, as it implies living a life that is driven more by curiosity than by fear.
As users, instructors and/or students of TRE®, we know from our experiences and study of the nervous system, that stress and trauma can make it really difficult to move beyond our fear and survival responses. Thus we are prevented from freely and fully manifesting our inner gems, and from living a creative life.
In this talk, I invite you to come and explore with me – in an interactive and multi-sensory way – some of the questions and ideas which I find fascinating:
- – Creativity is the natural order of life. Life is pure creative energy.
- – We are, ourselves, creations. And we, in turn, are meant to continue creating, by being creative.
- – How do we connect with this creative energy and become channels to manifest it in our lives ?
- – How can the practice of TRE® help us in this process ?
The flavour of my talk will be infused by these two quotes :
“In filling the well, think magic. Think delight. Think fun. Do not think duty. Do not do what you should do (…).. Do what intrigues you, explore what interests you; think mystery, not mastery.”
― Julia Cameron, The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity
“The creative process is a process of surrender, not control.”
― Julia Cameron
I look forward to sharing this experience with you !

I studied psychology at the University of Geneva in Switzerland and specialised in organisational & educational psychology, career counselling and solution-centred coaching. I became a certified TRE® provider in September 2021, after following the online course with Hans Holter Solhjell and Robyn Dalzen. Here’s an interview Hans did with me recently, where you can read more about my journey with TRE® and the training :
https://oppmerksombevegelse.no/deep-healing-and-empowerment-with-tre/
For over 20 years, I have also explored a vibrant path as a singer, composer and producer of several musical projects, albums and groups, such as SKY (SKYsoulsisters – a capella & spiritual), Yasmin Jazz Suite (jazz), Lemon Soul Trio (world-jazz) and Yasmin Doust (to be found on youtube, Facebook, Bandcamp). During the last 5 years, vocal improvisation (such as circle songs and other forms of group-improv) has become one of my favourite creative playgrounds.
I am passionate about constantly learning, exploring, connecting and improving ways and approaches to liberate, heal, transform and empower individuals, groups and communities, believing that we each can contribute to building a safer, more beautiful and better world.

Anne Rustad Sjøvold and Katrine Bagge-Skarheim
Read more here.
Inspired by our sister organization in Denmark, Scleroseforeningen, and Michael Nissen’s work with TRE® there, Follo ms-association arranged to have TRE® courses for us a few years ago.
Based on the positive experiences of the participants, we decided to have the competence to teach TRE® in our own association, and three members with backgrounds as social workers participated in the TRE® instructor training.
We organize and teach weekly TRE® groups as volunteers in the Follo MS association. In addition to working with tension release, we also work with the shame of having a chronic illness. Focusing on acceptance. and that we can live a full life, and accept the challenges you get from having a chronic illness like MS, that the body does not function as before, that one may not be able to work. MS is a progressive disease, where the body is constantly changing, and brings a lot of uncertainty and fear that the body may get worse, and you don’t know when. This make it challenging to become comfortable in our own body.
We will talk about how TRE® can be a support in this situation,
In this talk, we want to share the experiences with TRE® from our group. This includes our personal experiences, the results of three surveys the participants have answered, how we practice and facilitate, and our thoughts about how we are using this method.
The purpose of these sessions are also to connect with others who practice TRE® to share experiences, support and learn from each other.
